Kristen Vander-Plas joined Brad J. Davidson Law Firm, PC in 2017 and focuses her practice on general civil business and commercial law, civil litigation, and appellate law. Kristen has handled a variety of issues for her clients, including title work, contracts, commercial collections, business formation, and all aspects of litigation.
A 2016 summa cum laude graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law, Kristen was elected into the Order of the Coif. After graduation, Kristen moved to Austin to work for the Supreme Court of Texas as a law clerk in the chambers of Justice Don R. Willett. Raised in Lubbock, Texas, Kristen is excited to be back in West Texas, helping her community members with their legal needs. She has been licensed to practice in state courts since November of 2016.
Kristen is very involved in the local legal community; she serves on various boards for the Lubbock Area Bar Association and is a member of the local Inn of Court. She enjoys assisting with continuing-education endeavors and currently serves on the steering committee for the development of a national conference for the nation’s appellate lawyers. She also assists various State Bar committees and sections with technology geared to increase client accessibility of legal help and information.
A four-time national and state advocacy champion while in law school, Kristen was named the top oral advocate in Texas by the Texas Young Lawyers Association and the national best advocate by the American Bar Association. Kristen is also a member of the prestigious National Order of the Barristers. She currently coaches moot-court and mock-trial teams for the law school at Texas Tech.
Kristen is a firm believer that real success is born of work ethic, integrity, experience, and personality. She will work hard to provide quality legal advice crafted to meet her clients’ individual needs.
